Search local transcripts and conversations, or teach WhisperInk the terms you use most often.
Dictation history
The Dictation tab stores text transcripts on your Mac. Search by transcript or model, copy an earlier result, or delete individual entries.
Command conversations
Command conversations are kept separately from Dictation history. They can include turns and attachment information needed to continue a session. This data is stored locally unless a selected cloud model needs the context for a request.
Custom vocabulary
Add names, brands, abbreviations, and technical terms that WhisperInk might otherwise spell incorrectly. Vocabulary stays on your Mac and does not train or modify any model.
- Whisper-family models receive terms as a decoder prompt. This biases spelling but cannot guarantee it.
- Parakeet does not accept a prompt. WhisperInk can correct matching capitalization after recognition instead.
- Keep entries precise. Add the spelling you actually want to see in the final text.
Delete data
Delete transcripts and conversations from History. Remove speech and writing models from the app’s Models screens. Moving WhisperInk to Trash does not automatically delete downloaded models or other files in Application Support.
